I see only two possible reasons to explain the progress of the second test:
(i) Dhoni is the man for the job. No one else in the Indian team comes close.
(ii) Our team is as inconsistent as always, just that the victories of late seemed to hide this fact from our collective short-term view.
The two are not mutually exclusive.
Premature conclusion perhaps?
It was an awesome fight - what Test cricket is all about!
Premature blogjaculation, yes.
The point was regarding the way we played in the first two days. We seem to play with a sense of purpose under Dhoni that I found missing under Shewag.
Likewise, a single test neither means we are the best team nor the worst team in the world.
